How to date a ....
I was sort of taken back by this reading. It was almost a how to do guide on girls depending on their race and what their ideals could be. But it does seem kind of true though.
No Name Woman:
I can understand the tradition behind the villages in concerning family ideals. It seems like they were very in touch with the community and everything they stood for. Women were obviously treated differently.

I agree with your ideas about the No Name Women. I believe the stories main idea is that women in China during those times were treated unfairly. The title tells you this right away.
I felt the same way about "How to Date..." I said that it seemed like instructions or guidelines for dating. It is sad that the writer feels this way about different races and their ideals.
